On a cold morning on the 27th of April 2006, a young entrepreneur named Osmic Menoe brought about a revolution on the African music landscape. There, next to Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown, began a journey that continues to this very day. Back to the City Hip Hop Festival has grown year on year from 4000 attendees 18 years ago to more than 20 000 souls.
